Our Mission and Vision at Kaleo

This is the mission/vision statement we are laying out for Kaleo on Sunday:
Kaleo exists to delight in God above all else, to exalt His name among all people, for His glory through Jesus Christ
A mission statement is a declaration of what we do, a vision statement is a promise of what we want and will become. I believe this qualifies as both what we are now doing as well as what we want to become more of. A church that has its affections and emotions rooted in the living God of Holy Scripture, a church that wants Him to be famous throughout all the world so that all nations (including our own) see Him as beautiful and glorious, and a church that realizes that we exist purely for the purpose of making much of God’s glory and not ourselves.
May God grant us the grace, courage, and strength to see this in our day.
