I’m not sure how creative this is but I have tried to be creative with a person who works for me. I have put the question to him as to why he does not cheat on his wife when we visit forign ports (since most sailors I must admit do). After all in his world view if it feels right it is probobly right. And since he admits that sex feels good, and that the chances of his wife finding out is almost none, his logical baisis has no argument against such adultery but actualy supports it. We have been going round and round on this and how it relates to morality and the reason for it for a while now. I think that for many Americans raised in the “liberal” realtive moralism attitudes of post-modenism, questioning thier self serving morality tends to either cause them to more openly embrace what they will often admit is an unjustifiable life plan (either moraly or logicaly) or will cause them to loose confidence in thier world view and begin to question everything.

Nice…I really like speaking with people about morality and logic since without God neither can be lived or utilized consistently, and neither have any foundation for existence. This is good pre-evengelism, which in our culture is so important. It’s priming the pump and preparing them to hear the answer. This is why I always say that philosophers and theologians are dealing with the same issues of life. The beauty of philosophy, is that it sets the ball and allows the theologian to come and spike it. They have they questions and we have the answers.
