Sopranos Finale

TonyWow,
I don’t know what to say other than I was completely under whelmed by this entire season, including the season finale. I believe they wasted too much time on a character (Vito) that no one cared about and Johnny Cakes his little love buddy. Also, what a drag Tony’s coma was. We don’t watch Soprano’s to see Tony out of commission for multiple episodes!

If you haven’t seen the last episode, you may want to avoid it and just make one up in your head. I can assure you that whatever you come up with will be more creative than this episode.

What a drag. Man have I been disappointed with finale’s this year- from 24, Sleeper Cell, Lost, and Sopranos, it has really been a very poor year for the end of the season, with one exception- The Office. It’s almost as if the writers are purposely trying to stay away from delivering what we would expect- some sense of resolution and redemption, which a good story needs to have. Perhaps this is telling in our after-modern day that tries so hard not to follow typical narrative structure, and instead attempts to downplay our expectations so that we can create whatever we want in our own heads. Some might say this is good for art, but I say it just demonstrates a lack of creativity on the part of the artists who are to be the story tellers that we give our time to listen to. If I wanted to create my own story, I wouldn’t waste my time watching theirs.

With that said, I’m going to go take my dentures out, put on my Depends, take my Metamucil and go to bed in my pajama’s.
