Again, very important words.

It is so important to get to the root of it all & re-evaluate WHY we want to plant a church (or whatever it is).

For myself personally, its about giving it all up like Abraham did with Isaac on the mountain...he was willing to give up the good thing that God had given him through a promise.

Just like Abraham, I need to be willing to love Jesus "more than these". It is so so so important.

If we idolize anything...even a good thing...it becomes our false (and very incapable) savior & we will be let down every time. Jesus never lets us down.

He must increase, I must decrease. John 3:30

Blessings.

Very good! We have a fatal inclination to always value gifts above the giver! Yet, in treasuring the gift in itself it becomes less satisfying. I appreciated what you said at MC about how suicide and broken relationships can go hand in hand. You put your hope in someone else as your savior and when they fail reality cracks and shatters. I will pray that God would cause us both and everyone at our MC to love Jesus most! AC
